Over many years of experience and customer feedback we have found the best quality and value rope for nearly every use on a boat.

We stock brand name ropes such as Liros and FSE but can also buy direct from many different rope mills and can special order continuous lengths of 1000m or more for industrial uses like cable pulling.

We also offer a splicing service for 3 strand, 8-plait, spectra, dyneema and double braid ropes.

Here are a few of the popular types of we stock;

3-stand Silver (polyethylene) – A well priced rope that is commonly used for anchoring, mooring and pen lines. (floats) Good in UV and easy to splice. Sizes 4-24mm.

8-plait Nylon – A high strength rope that is perfect for anchoring, especially when using an anchor winch.  It has good stretch characteristics and can be spliced in loops or onto chain. (sinks)  Sizes stocked are 12mm, 14mm and 16mm.

Double Braid (polyester) (sinks) – Soft and easy to handle, it is great for sheets on all yachts and as halyards on cruising boats.  It can be spliced but due to it taking a couple of hours we only splice double braid rope on special request. Sizes stocked 2-16mm.

Spectra (polyester outer, spectra inner) (sinks) – Probably the most commonly used rope on all modern racing dinghies and yachts.  It is high strength and low stretch making it ideal for halyards, sheets and control lines.  Relatively easy to splice (depending on the method) it can also be tapered or tipped and comes in 2-14mm.

Dyneema sk75 (floats) – also called uncovered spectra, dyneema is a relatively new rope technology and has been used extensively in applications to replace flexible wire such as backstays, strops, trailer winch ropes, backstays and control lines that are not cleated.  Easy to splice.  Stocked in sizes 2-10mm.

Shock cord (polyester outer, rubber inner) (sinks) – also called bungy and occy strap, this elastic rope has many uses on boats, caravans, trailers and around the home.  Great for holding down light loads or keeping things out of the way. Stocked in sizes 2-10mm.
