Boating Hardware Prosail strongly supports Western Australian sailing and boating events. For example, last year we sponsored over 20 events, ranging from Port Headland in the north to Esperance in the south, from offshore IRC to mudlarks.

As the 2012 season draws to as close, it is presentation time again. So far this season, we have proudly sponsored the Sabre, Minnow and 29er states with many more to follow.

Please consider the fact that internet suppliers give nothing back to to sailing or boating. The next time you make a purchase BUY LOCAL!

A strategic partnership has been forged between Boating Hardware and Sydney based marine paint manufacturer NORGLASS.

NORGLASS has been manufacturing premium marine paints for over 30 years. NORGLASS is a family owned and operated business which has enjoyed huge growth in these difficult times, largely by striving for quality with both product and service whilst maintaining affordablity and focusing on what the customer wants. This simple focus has been sadly over-looked by the ‘big boys’ and has created a significant gap in the market place which NORGLASS has strategically filled.

*NORGLASS has a broader colour range with REAL paint samples on the lids.

*They have a far better selection of can sizes including small 2-pack metal primers.

*The 2-Packs are all simple 2:1 mixing ratios.

* The paint applies better and the coverage is FANTASTIC.

*NORGLASS have a very useful range of additives and accessories such as FLATTENING AGENTS, non-skid additive, 2-pack and single-pack BRUSHING THINNERS and much more.

A Special welcome to Martin Clapton our new retail shop manager. Martin has come to us with a wealth of boating retail and wholesale experience. Martin also has a trade background in fibreglass boat-building and is a keen boater himself. In addition to owning and re-building his own powerboats Martin is also a keen white water power dinghy racer. We will be training him up on Louis’ big sailboat over the summer and all ready he is making great progress with the sailing stuff. Martin is the clean and tidy well spoken one, he hasn’t taken up too much of our bad influence ….yet!

Also welcoming Glenn Thomas as our permanent part-timer. Glenn brings to us a wealth of sailing, kayaking and fishing experience and is currently sailing a laser. With his vast fishing experience he may even be able to show Lous how to bait a hook which will be very handy on week-ends up at ‘ledge’! Glenn managed Marine World for a while and has also spent some time at Bluewater tackle and Marine.
